FLEXIBLE ARRIVALS/DURATION OF HOLIDAY -
Many of our accommodations can be booked on a flexible basis allowing you
to tailor-make your own holiday - all our accommodations are priced on a
nightly rate per accommodation. This is particularly valuable if you are
intending to book with a budget airline such as Ryanair. Remember mid-week flights
can be considerably cheaper than weekends. Inter Brava will hold an accommodation
option for 24 hours to allow you to book your flights.
FLY DRIVE -
Book Inter Brava accommodation and collect your hire car at the airport.
Always book your hire car in advance as it works out cheaper. Use
reputable companies such as Europcar
or Hertz or a broker such as
Holiday Autos.
On-line booking is cheaper.
Inter Brava will book your airport transfer for you. From Gerona
airport (45 minutes) the transfer cost is £120 return for up to 4
persons - extra passengers £30 per person (subject to change). Barcelona and Perpignan
airports are priced on an individual basis and costs will be higher
as journey times are longer.
GERONA AIRPORT -
A Ryanair
hub airport. The gateway to the Costa Brava and only 45 minutes
from Estartit. Ryanair refer to Gerona as Girona Barcelona on
their website. They now fly daily from several U.K. and Irish airports including
Birmingham, Bristol, Doncaster, Durham - Tees Valley, Manchester, Newcastle,
Newquay, Stansted,
Glasgow Prestwick, Liverpool, Leeds/Bradford, Bournemouth,
Blackpool, East Midlands, Luton, London Stansted, Dublin and Shannon.
Several charter airlines also operate to Gerona including
Thompson and
MyTravel.
BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT -
Just under 2 hours from Estartit. Many airlines fly to Barcelona including
Easyjet,
British Airways
,
Iberia,
B.M.I Baby,
Globespan and
Monarch.
Transfers are more expensive from Barcelona due to extra distances. However, you can
catch a train from the airport to Flaca (20 minutes from Estartit) and take a taxi to
resort.
PERPIGNAN AIRPORT -
Perpignan is just over the French border, only 90 minutes from Estartit.
Ryanair operate a
daily flight from Stansted. Inter brava airport transfer service is available, priced
on an individual basis, please ask.
