On the outskirts of Empuria Brava, a 45 minute drive from Estartit,
75 minutes from Calella de Palafrugell, is the aerodrome of Empuria
Brava. A renowned drop zone which regularly hosts the world championship sky diving events. It offers tandem jumps. After a full
briefing with a "Tandem Master" (who are fully qualified sky diving instructors) its time to rigg up and board the plane. On
the way up to 15,000 feet equipmen is checked and double checked. Firmly attached to your instructor you will leap out of the
aircraft and free fall at 125mph for 8000ft in pproximately 45 seconds. At 7000ft your instructor will open your parachute and
still attached you will gently glide back down to earth, having the opportunity to guide the canopy yourself and take in the amazing
views.
